Father Leybourn, the Carolans, and the ffrench-Kehoes
An elderly cousin passed stories and photos to us about her mother's uncle "Father Leybourn", the Carolan sisters "Margaret, Nan, & Lissie", and Daniel "Tony" ffrench-Kehoe. Research has helped me connect all these individuals together, but not yet to my family. However, thanks to www.irishgenealogy.ie I am one step closer to finding my Leybourn connection. I have found my third great grandparents: John O'Neill & Mary Anne Leybourn. If you have any information on the above individuals, I would greatly appreciate it. You may help unlock a number of family mysteries. *Please note, I respect your privacy. Any information you provide will be kept in confidence upon request, and information about living individuals will never be published or shared. Contact Me |
Who is researching the Victorian sculptor John Henry Foley?
My great great grandfather Henry Hansell Wilson was supposedly influenced by his uncle John Henry Foley to go to art school and eventually take up trade as an engraver. There is some mystery as to how the families are connected. Contact Me | More Information: Henry Hansell WILSON |
The Spring-Rice family? An elderly cousin said this about my great great grandparents Henry Hansell Wilson & Marianne O'Neill:"My grandparents were very proud of their family, the Spring Rice family name of Lord Monteagle of Brandon and the O'Neill's of Ulster, of the Red Hand." Despite hours of research and developing a large Spring-Rice family tree, no concrete connection has been found between this family and ours. But if there is no connection, why did some of Henry & Marianne's children and grand-children adopt the Spring-Rice family name? Contact Me | More Information: Henry Hansell WILSON |
